World Tang Soo Do Association Members,
We would like to invite you to San Diego, CA to participate in the 2009 Region 20, Southern
California Championship. This year the event will be hosted by the United States Karate Academy and held
at Point Loma High School. As always, there will be a fantastic display of martial arts ability in the areas of
Weapons, Forms, Sparring, and Creativity. In addition to these great events, we will be adding a new category
which is Team Sparring, a highly entertaining show featured at this past May’s West Coast Classic.
We will once again be joined by our great leader, Grandmaster Jae C. Shin. In addition to the annual
tournament, he will be here to oversee the Fall Dan Testing held at Allied Gardens Tang Soo Do on Friday,
October 30 and to lead us in a Ki Gong seminar on Sunday, November 1.
We would like to thank all the students, instructors, friends and families, in advance for showing your
support to your individual studios, your region, and your association by participating in this year’s event. We
look forward to the best Regional Championship yet and the continual growth and development of World
Tang Soo Do in Southern California.
