The Tiny Tigers Program is geared for children between the ages of 3 to 6. This program teaches the younger children the discipline and self-control that Tang Soo Do promotes in a fun and interesting way, which keeps their attention and keeps them interested.
They are taught many of the basic techniques throughout the class, and learn many practical things like self-defense, etc... They play games throughout the class that help improve coordination, speed, balance, and thinking on-the-go. The classes are taught in a very positive way with lots of high-fives, and the children always leave feeling as though they have accomplished something.
The program is a great confidence builder, and it also helps improve the child's self-esteem, self-control, self-discipline, and concentration. It promotes the development of a positive attitude in a way that is fun and enjoyable.
At the end of every class, Mr. Convento goes over character development with the Tiny Tigers. Here they discuss concepts, ideas, and values that are important to anyone practicing the martial arts. They apply these things — like loyalty, honesty, humility, concentration, positive attitude, and goals — to situations that they face at home, school, and Karate!
